EHH Covid-19 Action Plan

Reducing the risk of Covid-19 when re-opening the doors of the Elizabeth House Hotel on 6th July.

The welfare of all our guests and the team is always our priority. We have been working tirelessly to ensure all necessary measures have been introduced across the whole hotel, to manage the risk of Covid-19, so that our guests and team feel assured when visiting the Elizabeth House Hotel.

Our team have been thoroughly trained in the extensive health and safety guidelines, in accordance with government regulations. Outlined below are some of the measures we have introduced.

Reception & Public Spaces
  • A Perspex screen has been added to our reception desk to ensure appropriate social distancing is maintained.
  • A one-way system signified by appropriate signage to ensure persons maintain a 2m distance. Where people cannot be 2m apart, we have done everything practical to manage transmission risk.
  • Multiple hand sanitizer stations located across the hotel, including reception. We politely ask guests to use this on entry and exit of the hotel.
  • Extensive cleaning of common areas and shared surfaces during the day.
  • All room keys are sanitised after each stay.
  • We politely request that if you are displaying symptoms of Covid-19 that you please postpone your stay. These include a high temperature and persistent cough.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
  • Our housekeeping team wear appropriate PPE gear during cleaning.
  • All printed material e.g. menus, information pack has been laminated and will be sanitised after each stay.
  • Every guest bedroom will be fully sanitised after each stay to ensure no contamination prior to arrival.
  • All surfaces are thoroughly cleaned.
  • All linen including towels are professionally cleaned on a high heat.
Food & Drink
  • Our delicious breakfast has always been a la carte and cooked to order, this will remain the same!
  • All menu options at both breakfast and dinner are available as takeaway options. Guests are more than welcome to order room service (dinner only).
  • We will not be able to offer drinks at the bar, but instead full table service will be offered.
  • All menus will be sanitised after every use.
  • All tables in our dining areas are spaced out to ensure social distancing measures are adhered to.
  • If the weather allows, guests have full use of our walled garden for dining.
